GRWM: Gold Eyes & Red Lips

I've decided to do a makeup tutorial for my blog but I'm unsure of how to set it out but I'm going to give it a go. The look I decided to go with was a gold eye and a red lip (as you can tell from the title of this post). The inspiration came from my most recent purchase of the original Urban Decay Naked Palette and I absolutely fell in love with the colour Half Baked as soon as I used it. Now lets move on to the actual makeup!!

A Clothing Haul

Following my last post, which was a Lush Haul from my weekend in Newcastle, I thought I would do a haul for the clothing portion of my buys. I bought quite a few little things including a new backpack and one non-clothing item - the Naked Palette!!! If you want to check out my last post I'll link it below.

A Little Lush Laul

The other day I went to Newcastle shopping with my family and of course Lush was one of the shops I wanted to visit. I love Lush and all of their products. I usually buy the typical products like the Ickle Baby Bot or the Comforter bubble bar, but this time I decided to branch out. I went in planning to buy things with different (but still nice) scents to what I usually buy but that didn't work as two were repurchases. I bought two bath items: the Lush Sakura bath bomb and the Yuzu and Cocoa bubbleroon. I also got the Lush Tea tree toner mist and lastly, the very interesting Golden Handshake hand treatment.

REVEW: L'Oreal Paris Color Riche L'Ombre Pure eyeshadow

This eyeshadow is by far my most used and favourite eyeshadow of all time. If I'm going to do an eye look it is always  included somewhere. I only have one shade but I really do want to try more as not only is the colour beautiful, the formula is amazing. The shade I have is "201 CafĂ© Saint Germain" which also says nude on the packaging but I think that is just the type of shade although I could be wrong.

A wee road trip...

For the first time all year, where I live in Scotland it was a lovely day! So after I finished work, my family and I decided to go on a little drive and make the most of the sunny day. We drove around some of the country roads and also stopped at a local town where there was a small Scottish night happening. (There was also an ice cream van which was out main reason for stopping by!) It's very rare that we have a good evening here so it was lovely to go out and spend some time with my family so I snapped a few pictures along the way to share with you.

The Top 5 books in my wishlist

Reading used to be something that I did a lot when I was younger but as I've experienced the wrath of exams and just generally being a teenager, I have began to read a lot less. In an attempt to relight the spark of my interest of reading I have put together this list of books that I would like to read in the near future. Maybe if all goes to plan I'll be able to review these books once I've read them, so hopefully my plan works.

Making a Bloglovin' account

Bloglovin' is an amazing way to be able to follow and keep up to date with all of your favourite blogs all in one place. To be honest I don't know how I didn't have an account sooner as it's a brilliant site. I have also found loads of new blogs which I look forward to reading more of in the future!

My Everyday Make Up - (Foundation free)

My War Paint AKA my everyday makeup.
It's no secret to my friends and family that I love makeup. Not to the point where I slap everything I own onto my face or do a dramatic look everyday of my life, but I do enjoy putting on makeup to make myself feel a little better (Always keeping it natural I may add!!).
I thought that talking about something easy for my first real post would be a good start. I may not be a makeup artist but I like to believe I'm not horrible at it.

A Rocky First Post

I'm not entirely sure how I should start this post. Should I go with the more serious "Hello, my name is Rachael and this is my first post on my new blog" or should I go with a more humorous approach? Ultimately I'm unsure of how to start my blog but I'll let you know the basics:
1. I'm 17 years old and I'm still at high school
2. I aspire to be a midwife in the future and have already looked into (and applied) to do the course at University in the near future.
3. I've always been into looking through beauty and lifestyle blogs and have also spent A LOT of my time watching YouTube videos. I think it's an amazing hobby and would love to get into it myself and I feel like now is the right time to so here I am.
So there are the basics. I know this post is not the best but oh well everyone has to start somewhere. I'm not looking for this blog to become a huge success, it is more about me being able to express my opinions and interests and maybe even discuss them with other people! Talking about my interests, I love beauty and I also enjoy just talking about my life in general.
I think that's all for now but I'm going to try and upload a hopefully more interesting post soon. So goodbye for now!!
